Orange Madeira cake

This is Orange Madeira Cake. Simply put its a Madeira cake with lots of Fresh orange juice in it. Now Madeira is a wine, so I was under the impression that this was a cake that used the wine in the recipe. But it turns out that in the 18th or 19th century, when this cake was first made, Madiera wine was served with the cake and so it got its name. The cake is similar to a "pound cake" which has everything in equal amounts(usually one pound). The texture of the cake is very soft and the fresh orange juice gives it a good flavour. Here's the recipe for making a Pound cake: http://www.joyofbaking.com/PoundCake.html
